In 1850, Carlo Gancia founded the Gancia wine-family business in Italy. He is known as the father of Italian sparkling wine, producing the first sparkling wine made with the Traditional Method in Piedmont, on his return from studying in Champagne.
Early last century, Argentina was selected by the Gancia family to produce their unique products. Since then, the Cepas Group leads the Aperitif market with Americano, Spritz and Argentine classic bitters such as Amargo Obrero, Hesperidina and Pineral.
There’s more to the European heritage in Argentina than just wine!
